BANANAS

Bananas are one of the best FIRST FOODS for BABY~ especially when TRAVELING. They’re quick, easy and come in bunches!!! High in POTASSIUM, FIBER and plenty of other vitamins and nutrients, bananas contain ONE OF THE MOST WELL-BALANCED combinations for overall health.

The fact that they help to RESTORE ENERGY makes them perfect for ATHLETES, GROWING CHILDREN and YOUNG PUBESCENT ADULTS. A child’s developing brain and active hormones go through processes that require lots of energy and burn many calories. On the other hand, properties in this fruit also calm and soothe, INDUCING REST. Try feeding a banana to your little one an hour or two before bedtime~ watch how relaxed she’ll get!

GREEN BANANAS (Unripe) contain lots of STARCH and FIBER. Therefore, they EASE CONSTIPATION. Eating RIPE BANANAS are nutritionally restorative after a bout with DIARRHEA.

I ate so many bananas in my childhood that I absolutely WILL NOT eat a yellow banana. I will, however, add them to my smoothies and other recipes.

*MY FAV is GREEN BANANAS in COCONUT MILK!!!* Yummmmy…

BROCCOLI

Born into the SAME FAMILY AS CAULIFLOWER, this vegetable edible green floret’s, leaves and trunk. Broccoli contains all the same nutrients as cauliflower in addition to CALCIUM, VITAMIN E and all those special melanin-enhancing properties of all things dark and green!

The fluffy brush-like petals of its flowers tell us they’re gonna sweep our intestines clean of debris~ which is why we don’t want to over-cook them. Broccoli can be eaten raw (it does offer an acquired taste to some, however). You’ll do well to marinate raw broccoli in apple cider vinegar or a bit of water and oil. Season with herbs, to taste..Delicious!!!

Eat broccoli several times a week pretty much all year long…

PUMPKIN & SQUASH

*Check out the picture of one of my daughter’s favorite meals (she’s 2). It’s ORGANIC STEAMED ACORN SQUASH STUFFED with ORGANIC SPINACH and DRIZZLED with ORGANIC EVO. It is DELICIOUS!!!*

There are many varieties of what many people call “Pumpkin” (typically larger, orange, hard-shelled, bulbous fruit of the vine). However, in many parts of the world both pumpkin and squashes are considered all different kinds of pumpkin.

Squash are generally referred to as smaller, bulbous fruit of the vine.

ACORN and BUTTERNUT are my absolute favorite varieties of squash to eat!!!

The Squash family consists of many varieties like green and yellow zucchini, spaghetti, Autumn Cup, Buttercup, Banana and more. There are Summer Squash (zucchinis and other softer varieties) and Winter Squash (like acorn and others with tougher skin). However, most varieties are available year-round.

FYI: I, personally, like to eat foods in season~ something my grandmother stressed when I was younger~ when they’re at the peak of their greatness. For instance, you’ll only catch me eating collard greens after the first frost of the Fall or Winter.

FYI 2: Most markets offer fruits and veggies across seasons, simply because they’re importing them.

The BRIGHT ORANGE and YELLOW colors of Pumpkins and Squash tell us that they are high in POTASSIUM, VITAMIN A, VITAMIN C, VITAMIN K and VITAMIN E.

Both PUMPKINS and SQUASH are resistant to drought and, thus, universal symbols of harvest fertility.

HEMP

Cannabis’ Child, Marijuana’s Cousin~ HEMP~ can be cultivated for every conceivable use. The entire hemp plant is biodegradable, req
uires little fertilizer, and grows in 1/2 the time as most other food crops. Its uses range from food to shelter and clothing.

Some of its Stellar Qualities are that it:

Is the most complete and highly digestible vegetable protein known to man, consisting of unsaturated fats (Omega 3 & Omega 6) that are more easily digested by the body than even those in flax seed oil.

Is rich in Essential Fatty Acids that are routinely taken out of processed foods in order to extend shelf life.

Enhances the immune system by helping to produce dis-ease fighting antibodies found in white blood cells.

Eases constipation.

Works through the stomach to help heal ulcers.

A wide variety of foods can be made with hemp SEEDs and OIL, including flour and milk. They can, also, be ingested individually as nutritional supplements. I make delicious h

emp oil salad dressing and hummus, luxurious hemp brownies, plump pancakes and decadent hemp chocolate chip cookies..ummmm!!!

Hemp Fiber is used to make paper, building materials, fabrics and cloth. I have a wonderful seating area covered in hemp cloth!! It’s my favorite place to sit and read a book.

Let’s not forget all the High Quality hempseed oil hair and skin care products that’ll no

urish, soften, protect and stimulate. Find superior ones at www.mothanature.com.

Its short growing time allows hemp to be grown year round. So, enjoy the benefits of this wonderful plant~ a True Blessing to Huemanity~

APPLES

AN APPLE A DAY (in season) REALLY WILL KEEP THE DOCTOR AWAY!! (She says while munching on a yummy Gala) And, “When is in season?” you ask. Well, obviously (or not so obviously), it’s different for every fruit.

APPLE SEASON begins in SEPTEMBER and, depending on the weather and other factors, stretches all the way to late FEBRUARY/ early MARCH. For two whole seasons, we get to enjoy a multitude of apples: Gala, Golden Delicious, Granny Smith, Fuji, Braeburn, etc…

What do you mean, keep the doctor away?

Apples help to keep the system “regular”. They’re high in FIBER, POTASSIUM, VITAMIN C, etc… In addition to assisting the immune system, apples aid in REGULATING BOWEL MOVEMENTS. That’s right! The fiber makes apples great fruit for EASING CONSTIPATION. On the other hand, properties in apple juice make for a great DIARRHEA REMEDY. Interesting, huh?

BTW, GALA and FUJI are MY FAVS!! Although, I like to mixed either of those with Golden Delicious and Granny Smith when making APPLE PIE = yummmmmy!!!!!!!!!

AVOCADO

I love a Creamy, Luscious Avocado!!! Avocados range in taste from light and watery to thick and buttery, like the Californian Hass, which happens to be my favorite. This FRUIT contains Vitamin E, C, K, Potassium, Iron, etc… It is also High in PROTEIN and Nutritious Fats and Low in Cholesterol. Eat them alone or: as a side to your favorite meal; as main ingredient in a sandwich; mixed w/banana in a smoothie (if you’re adventurous!); and, numerous other ways…

There are many varieties of the Avocado, which can be grown as trees and plants. The trees are grown outdoors, mostly in tropical climates. The plants, grown indoors, are non-fruit bearing with beautiful, dark leaves.

By the way, AVOCADO SEASON is YEAR-ROUND!!! So, EAT UP!!

I like to think of AVOCADO as a FRIEND to MAN, WOMAN and CHILD. MEN LOVE that it’s a SUPER~PROTEIN they can eat liberally to aid in maintaining a MUSCULAR PHYSIQUE and NOT ADD POUNDS; WOMEN LOVE the benefits it provides to HAIR and SKIN; and, CHILDREN JUST LOVE IT!!! Not to mention, it’s really wonderful for them, too!!

Avocados make AN EXCELLENT EARLY FRUIT FOR BABY~ as they can be sliced on-hand, smashed, then served fresh on the spot. They’re quick, fresh and easy to carry on the go.

It’s true! The OIL FROM AVOCADOS is packed with Hair and Skin Enhancing Properties, making it great for SOFTENING the SKIN and ADDING SHEEN to the HAIR!! That’s why it’s a major ingredient in Royal Anointing Oil and Cannabis Supreme Cremes by Hemptherapy.

Hemptherapy oils and crèmes moisturize, nourish and guard hair against splitting and drying, while protecting skin from dehydration.

HEALTHY SKIN Comes Mostly From WITHIN

The saying goes, "As Above, So Below." So, too, with our bodies. As Within~ On the Skin.

The skin is the largest organ on (not within) our bodie
s. It displays exactly what's going on with our other organs and in our bloodstream. Our skin was designed to communicate with us by delivering the inner body's messages.

T
hese are a few of the indicators skin uses: dryness, excessive sweating, eczema, psoriasis, acne, blotches, blemishes, dark marks, redness, roughness, and the amount of elasticity. As you can see, they may be extreme or minor.

Remember this: Any and All indicators can be Restored to a position of Balance. In other words, any skin ailment can be "cured" with a regimen of eating the proper foods, getting the best possible exercise, using the highest quality products and, most importantly, THINKING POSITIVE LIFE-CHANGING THOUGHTS.

I Have Done it in dramatic instances and continue to do it on a daily basis.
